We love our LifeSource water". - Ed Begley Jr. Ed’s house looks like a home from the 1960s sitcom My Three Sons, where Begley made his acting debut at 17. The Begley you see on TV isn't an act, he truly walks the walk. The Begley home is a modest 1,585 sq. ft 2-bedroom, 1½-bath house using solar and wind power and an electricity-generating bicycle to toast bread. His electric bill today is about $200 a year. The white picket fence is made of recycled plastic. They use a rain barrel to collect water for watering their organic garden. Ed’s favorite cooking tool is a solar oven and bottled water is banned in his home. Ed says, "It's all the low-hanging fruit, the simple things anyone can do that will save them energy, water and money”. Ed and Rachelle needed to replace their broken water system, and remove chlorine from their tap water. In addition, the new system had to meet their eco-friendly criteria; conserve water, energy efficiency, zero maintenance and replace need for bottled water. The LifeSource whole house water system met their criteria. After installation, Rachelle loved the taste of the water and how nice it made her hair and skin feel.
