How/why was the theme chosen? Clean Water reflects the LifeSource commitment to Healthy Water for a Healthy Planet. Every body - people -- animals -- plants need clean water. LifeSource Water Systems and its customers celebrate clean water and its positive effect on their health and environment every day.

How does the theme relate to parade theme? As a green company, protecting and preserving our precious resources, crystal clear, sparkling clean water - like good food - is a part of every celebration table. Water is the key to life. Celebrate Clean Water - Celebrate Life.

Float Description: LifeSource Water Systems "Celebrate Clean Water" - from the polar caps to the tropic isles. A lady frog (a young relative of the leaping, water-lapping amphibian of LifeSource's 2007 float) enjoys the tropics, while a giant penguin sips an ice cold glass of LifeSource filtered water.

Animation: The float features an actual flowing waterfall, filtered by an onboard LifeSource Whole-House Water System. The hula dancing frog's hips sway with the music.

Participating Organization Information: LifeSource Whole-House Water Systems is the Exclusive Water System of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses. LifeSource provides the whole-house water system for the Tournament House in Pasadena. In addition, provides water systems for Rose Parade float builders and float decorating facilities. Beginning with the 2007 Rose Parade, every flower on every float is kept fresh in LifeSource Water. Preferred Florist of the Tournament of Roses, Jacob Maarse Florist, tested the LifeSource system and found that cut flowers kept their vibrant color better and lasted 3-4 days longer when kept fresh in LifeSource Water.

Special Participant Information: LifeSource Water Systems is a Pasadena, California based business, manufacturing and distributing water treatment products for residential and commercial applications since 1984. LifeSource Beotron systems are tested and certified and have earned the Gold Seal issued by the Water Quality Association.
