William "Smokey" Robinson, Jr. is an American Motown/R&B Singer-Songwriter and record producer from Detroit, MI. His band Smokey and the Miracles was one of the biggest acts in Motown. Smokey also wrote for musicians like The Temptations, The Four Tops, and Marvin Gaye. Some of his hits include "My Girl" and "The Way You Do The Things You Do." Smokey also served as Motown's Vice President from 1961 to 1988.
